If you feel like you survived OctPoWriMo 2017, grab the image and share on your page and across social media.
I found a new poetry toy today, a random word generator! What a nifty tool! Feeling stuck, need a few good words, click on the random word generator and poof, you have words to play with. I can see myself using this a lot for poetry.
Poetry Prompt Possibilities
- Head over to the random word generator, choose one to three words and follow where they lead you.
- Create an Acrostic poem from the word, Mysterious.
- Create a mysterious poem from the photo prompt.
- Or choose from our word prompts and your favorite poetry type from Shadowpoetry.com

ReplyDeletePosting for Sudha Reddy:
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween
I chose mysterious prompt
Style - acrostic
HALLOWEEN NIGHT
Mysterious, Halloween haunted night
Yummy candy in a carved pumpkin bowl, bright
Streets filled with kids, form shadows under the lantern’s light
Trick or treating in the chilly foggy night
Encouraging to be safe in this mysterious smoky night
Right through the door like zombies in the silent night
In their ghostly costumes, holding the treat bags right
Out they go giggling with excitement not taken alight
Undertones of exhilaration outlined as dare, fear and fight
Shouting ‘Trick or Treat’ in the moonlit mysterious nightsr
I like your Halloween poem! Particularly the "Streets filled with kids form shadows under the lantern's light"!
