Poetry Badges

Everyone likes a little bling to share on their pages and it helps let your readers know about OctPoWriMo. Here are some of our favorites. Right click on the image, click 'save image as', save it to your computer. Remember to link it back to http://octpowrimo.com That's all there is to it.

    Okay - I saved a badge to my computer. How do I link it up to my poetry blog and then link it back to the site?

    First did you create your blog in Blogger? If you did then you need to go to your dashboard/design, click on Layout, and click on add a Gadget on the side. A box will pop up with a lot of choices, scroll down to Image and click on the plus sign. Choose file from your computer and put our URL which is http://octpowrimo.com where it says link and click on Save. It will automatically put it at the top right but you can move it down the side to where you want it. Hope that helps.

      It looks like it is at the top unless you are talking about putting it in the header/banner. You would then need to make a banner with your title and the pic on the side. Once you have created it (you can create in Paint program) you have to do the above except instead of adding a gadget you would edit the header above in the layout and it's self explanatory for choosing the file/banner you created. The problem with doing it this way it won't be linked to OctPoWriMo. It is better to leave it where it is. Hope that helps.

    That helps. I am on my phone now, but saw your FB message. Will be done tomorrow.And yes, I did create the blog in Blogger, using my name as was suggested in another post. Thank you for all your help. Can't wait to start, as my idea is one I am very excited to share with everyone.
