Day 7: And Then I Went Too Far

We are already at the end of week 1 of OctPoWriMo 2017! Glad you're still here. If you're here for the first time, just jump right in and know that all prompts are optional. Keep the wonderful responses coming!

We've all done it, haven't we? Said or done something that was just too much, crossing some line (intentionally or not). For today's prompt, perhaps it's a confessional - a chance to tell about a time that you went too far. Perhaps you were witness to someone else "crossing the line". Maybe this poem will be a work of complete fiction about a character from your imagination violating a code of conduct or ethics. I can't WAIT to read what you come up with for this one!

Happy writing!

  1. Everything I tried, I just couldn't get the words to work. Maybe I tried too hard. I don't know. This one is going to have to wait.

    1. Thanks for sharing that it sometimes just doesn't work. I think it happens to all of us, and it's good to know we're not alone.

Reading you comment somehow inspired my opening line: "There’s a line words cannot cross"

Thank you for everything you give to us.

  12. Posting Sudha Reddy's Day 7 Poem.

Day 7 prompt - and then I went too far .....

When I go too far.... then it becomes counter intuitive.

I have to confess that.... this has been my biggest challenge to keep a check, so as not to cross the line.... and inadvertently offend a loved one .

There are some clear lines, but there are those difficult ones to recognize. Crossing a line for one is not so much a problem as for others .....
to keep a clear mutually agreeable boundaries in each relationship is more intuitive than a measure.

What saved me or not , many times ....depended on my intentions, truthfulness of the content and my willingness to readily express a sincere apology.

Most of the credit goes to the people around me, who are more than generously forgiving, as they are the epitome of empathy , compassion and love.
And they are willing to accept me unconditionally.
This has to be the Grace of God....
For which I am deeply Great full....forever

    TEMPLE

Our heart is a place of worship
    Where relationships are worshiped
It is powered with unconditional love, trust and respect
The walls are raised with empathy and compassion
The air is infused with pure intentions
The Truth, a pleasant breeze is flowing through the openness
The boundaries are wide but yet clear
The roof is a relationship that is nurturing the mutual growth
Then, there are no lines to cross....they tend to resolve into each other
You and me come to merge into one.....
There are no egg shells left to walk up on..
The floor is formed of pebbles of friendship for forever
Life feels like a smooth and free flowing river

Our heart is a place of worship
    Where relationships are worshipped.
Then, Life is a serene free flowing river ...😊💕🙏sr
