When we band together, we are cared for, feel comfortable
and needed, and contribute to the good of all. We satisfy the basic human need
for love and belonging by cooperating with others.
Spouses, partners, family, and friends satisfy our need for love and belonging. So do groups,
clubs, organizations, sports teams, and workplaces.

Free write for ten minutes about belonging and see where it
leads you. Where do you belong? What tribe, group or club? With whom? How did
you know it was your place of belonging? What is it that makes you feel like
you belong? How do you help others feel they belong?
For further inspiration, check your local newspaper for
articles that portray or suggest belonging. Look for events that one might join
and find their place of belonging.
Suggested form: Clarity Pyramid -- a 7-line poem consisting of two triplets
and a single line. Usually displayed

ReplyDeleteHello and a Good day,
The prompt is belonging-
There are so many layers into the depth for this topic.
My favorite, human need , after love....
I pray that all babies , that are born into this world , would feel that they belong somewhere in the humanity.
Feeling belonged and loved brings the best of the people.
And contrary is true too.....
LOVE
Hurting
Belonging
Basic human need
Life of love or hurting
And everything in between
Proportion to empathy and compassion in ( your own) the world
More hurting in my case, if I'm to be honest.
DeleteA beautiful poem.
Here's another depressing poem from yours truly.

Today's poem. It took a while to finish it, my day didn't quite go as planned, but... I'm happy with the result, which is all that I can ask for :)
