When was the last time you wanted something? I mean, really deeply WANTED something? What was it that you wanted? Why did you desire it so intensely?
Take a few moments and close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths to ground yourself. Then allow your mind to focus on that time and place where you were desiring. See the object of your desire vividly. Notice the details of it. Use all of your senses to guide you. Was it something you wanted to taste? What did it smell like? What did it look like? Was it something you could hold in your hands? What did it feel like? Did you get what you wanted? What emotions did you experience in getting what you wanted or being denied? Jot down anything you can remember about the specifics of this moment of desire.

ReplyDeleteHow I desire that I have 48 hours in a day ....to do everything I want to do and experience things at my pace.... smelling the roses along the way...and tasting the cake too...😃🙏💕
LIBERATION
My desires are too numerous to remember
At this moment, I desire to have 48 hours in a day..
Desires are fleeting, floating, changing and never ending
Sacrifices, heart aches, celebrations, numerous for accounting
Of many desires that are floating, fleeting
That are changing and never ending
What stands out as a hidden thread
In the flower garland of many desires
Fragrance of the desires as a constant reminder
Holding the many flowers of desire together
Woven together as a flower garlands so ornate
Holding together, is the thread, for the spirit of Freedom
It is the freedom for the free spirit
Now, more than ever, I crave for it
Yearning, wanting, desiring incessantly
Will not quench my thirst for Freedom
I need to allow myself to feel the spirit of Freedom
And move for the liberation towards free spirit,
Resolving and fighting all the desires, as they come
That will quench my thirst for the spirit of Freedom 😊💕🙏sr

Just a quick note about public domain:
ReplyDeletepub·lic do·main
noun
noun: public domain; plural noun: public domains
the state of belonging or being available to the public as a whole, and therefore not subject to copyright.
Though it is a great practice to always credit artists and sources, if something is in the public domain, not crediting does not violate copyright.
This prompt inspired my first Haiku of #OctPoWriMo: Walking On Land
