Sometimes truth is the hardest thing to face, especially when you take a moment to examine YOUR truth. What you see or believe may be very different from what that means to another person, but that's the beauty of it all. Your truth makes you unique. It can give you strength or challenge you to face situations or beliefs which may be painful or filled with sorrow. It can bring great joy or supreme satisfaction.
Poetry Prompt
Take some time to think about your truth. Where do your thoughts lead? Are there particular images or memories this truth conjures? Was it something you felt the need to defend or was it that something that fortified you in times of need? Your truth is a part of your being. Introduce us to him/her.

ReplyDeleteMine is about a villain, but it isn't a Villanelle. I combined two prompts, then deviated from both of them.

Day 14#OctPoWriMo2020
ReplyDelete“Truth “ to me is like that armour which protects me from vice. I remember my grandmother used to tell lots of stories and each had a morale in the end. She has inculcated such wonderful values in me .I rely on them strongly when I face difficult situations in life. I stand with Truth and Empathy . These embolden me and I am able to make myself heard and seen as an individual. Thank you my dear Grandma.
My poem today is about being lost and found again. Found with the values that make one unique and True.

My truth is pretty unpleasant most days, but today was a doozy. Apologies in advance, both for the sentiment and the poor skill. All's Not Fair After All
