OctPoWriMo Day 5

I'm losing steam. I've been pet sitting since Wednesday and the pup liked to get up before the crack of dawn to go out for a walk every morning and I've not had much sleep. Luckily I'm home now and, hopefully, I can get more than five or six hours sleep.

Creating

Heart

Going a bit different today with the form but weaving the words around the theme of the day :” Creating from your heart” with inspiration taken from an amazing click shared by a friend.

  5. "Creating from your heart" took me to an interesting place mentally, where I both felt completely free and completely imprisoned by myself, which bled into the imagery that I worked with.

  15. Sigh... today has been absolute shit, and I did NOT want to write. But I did, and predictably, it's godawful. But that's okay; it's about the process, right?

    1. This is the thing about poetry writing months. You'll feel even worse if you skip a day! Your poem is raw and visceral, and the visual element is stunning.
