OctPoWriMo Day12

Today's prompt is about having fun in the process. I believe that a lot of poets take writing poetry too seriously. Yes, it can be serious but I think it's important to remember to play.

Today I am having a hard time with play. My emotions won't seem to lighten up no matter what I do. I hung out at the lake, taking in nature which normally helps me, but not today.

Poetry Prompts:

Write for ten minutes about how you liked to play when you were little. Did you enjoy coloring,  hopscotch, swinging on the swing set? See if you can tap into those playful feelings and pick one to do for a few minutes to remember what it was like to be a child at play.

Word Prompts:

Playful
Childlike
Silly

Poetry Type:

Or

Music and Dance:

Okay, this song made me smile, laugh, and by the end I was singing and bebopping along to it. Go ahead, have a listen and see if it will have you feeling playful in no time. (Created on my phone and I could only get the link instead of the code)

  10. Today’s theme is wonderful since it has taken me back to the amazingly beautiful childhood memories. Rainy season has always been my favorite. I used to make paper boats and watched them gliding happily on the flowing rain water ! Oh, those are great memories and the very thought brings a smile to my face. Thanks Morgan for the lovely prompt today.

Attempted poetry form :” Zanila Rhyme” ( the third line rhyming internally is pretty interesting!)

  11. Didn't do my work today because suddenly my book was on offer and I had to make it available even though it's not launched yet. ow I feel guilty for not having done my job. So a bit of silliness is what I needed! https://unassortedstories.wordpress.com/2020/10/12/sillyme/
