My frustration level has increased tenfold so this prompt is quite fitting.

Poetry Prompts:
Frustration wells inside, what do you do? How do you handle your frustrations when they stack on top of each other until you feel like you are going to scream? Write for ten minutes while thinking about those questions. Pull one sentence out and write some more, getting to the meat of it.
Word Prompts:
Screaming into the wind
overwhelm
enough is enough
letting go
Suggested Poetry Type: Shape poetry
Music:
Dance it out, I wish I could. Maybe I will crank the music and dance in my seat.
How are things going for you? Have anything interesting happen last week? Good news? Bad news? Poetry flowing? Tell us about it.
Peace,
Morgan DragonwillowPeace,

Those who dislike dark and depressive poetry would be well advised to avoid this one.
ReplyDeleteScreaming Inside Myself
Hope all goes well. I know it would be driving me crazy to not be able to do anything. I'm very impatient by nature.
Cara, That is one poem deeply sprinkled with powerful expressions.

ReplyDeleteAt least my long lasting broken foot trouble didn't come with medical bills... It pains my heart each time when I see how in the US physical suffering goes hand-in-hand with financial suffering!
ReplyDeleteThe double hit of no income and huge bills :( :( :( I'll be spreading your Fundraiser for sure, on Facebook and Twitter.
I don't know how much more of this I can take. Not kidding.

Get well soon, Morgan. :)

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your injury! Blessed Be. No link yet, although I'll work on one because this is one of "my" topics, but here's a bit of a throw away from the archives, on prompt:
ReplyDeleteOn the good days
I’m only sad
and I can force a grin
But on the bad
days the screams come out
and I have to stay in.
Saying so much in so few words - wow!
DeleteCould definitely relate

ReplyDeleteAn apology. I am not a poet, so I had no idea what a shape poem was,and I never even noticed that these were to be different types of poems each day. So please forgive my haiku.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing to forgive. The prompts are there for inspiration if we need it, but different poems (both in content or form) are 100% as welcome as the prompted ones. We're just glad to be in this together, to be inspired and supported. The muse has free reign!
DeleteThank you so much!
DeleteMy entry today is again for poet Reuben Woolley, who's had a liver transplant. Once upon a time there was a NaPoWriMo or #OctPoWrimo to record yourselfd reading on of your own poems. That was a HUGE stretch for me, but I'm glad I did it back then. Today, I did that again. Writing a poem especially for Reuben was too difficult.

Today is election day here in Canada, and I am so frustrated at the dirty campaigning and name-calling. I Cannot Fix the World
ReplyDeleteI am a bit late today but it's, at least, today and not tomorrow yet. I'm still here . Not many more days to go - is it 10 -- eek, sounds a lot. I'll carry on if I can.

I attempted a shape poem, so much easier on paper than wordpress!

Today's prompt took an entire day of reflection and brought me to my favorite artist -- Vincent Van Gogh.
