Day-11
ReplyDeleteA Loop Poem

I have written a cleave poem though perhaps the rather chopped up staccato of the loop poem would also have suited the theme.

Thank you for sharing this form. I was unfamiliar with it but will add it to my list. I love the two voices you use.
DeleteThank you! It's a form I only rarely tackle as it's tricky to get the two sides telling contrasting stories. It's easy to split a poem in two, but then you tend to get three poems saying the same thing!
DeleteFollowing quickly on from my day 10, here is my poem for Day 11

ReplyDeleteI crave this type of silence as well. There's such a comfort in it.
DeleteInspired by Jane Dougherty I wrote a cleave poem too: https://unassortedstories.wordpress.com/2019/10/11/i-lost-connection/
ReplyDeleteWow! Reblogged this on Writing and Reflections.

ReplyDeleteHah. I did silence yesterday, in response to the see and touch prompts. So I'll link it again here, if that's not cheating!

ReplyDeleteIt's relatively early here on the west coast, 27F outside, a lingering snow on the ground, and an unexpected poem woke me up!

How exciting! Congratulations on the audio book. Your poem truly conveys how it feels to hear someone else read your words.
