Welcome to Day 6! Today’s prompt is conquered. Virgil said, “Love conquers all things.” What does that mean to you? Do you believe you can face anything as long as you have the one you love by your side? “Conquered” implies a battle of sorts. Is love just a battlefield?
Suggested poetry type: Rondeau
Word Prompts: worth the fight
victory
battle
forever
together
Remember, our prompts are only suggestions.
During OctPoWriMo, if you want to make sure that we know you have written something new, comment in that day's post with your link to your blog and/or share your link on Twitter with the hashtag, #OctPoWriMo.
If you would like to leave an active link in the comments:
<a href = "your link">your title</a>
You have to put the link to your post (same link you would put in the comment section) in the "your link" space within the quotations and the title to your post in the “your title” space.
Our link would look like this:
<a href="https://poetsonthepage.blogspot.com/">OctPoWriMo</a>
Once you hit publish on your comment it would look like this (only with the name of your post):
I hope that helps. You don't have to do this. It is only if you would like to make your link an active link.
Remember to visit two or more OctPoWriMo participants and leave encouraging and supportive words along the way.
together... :)

Like the way you expressed the wonderful emotions of being in love. Perfect usage of the prompt.

ReplyDeleteToday's prompt took me to the mountains. I have a fear of heights and I froze before passing a ridge to the summit during my first trek.

Wow. Excellent and captivating.
DeleteThank you. Clouds keep coming up in conversations, etc. Today I decided to look and see if there was such a thing as a god or goddess of clouds. Then came the part of how do clouds fit into conquering. What a mishmash! lol
DeleteIt took me all day again! But...a rondeau.

ReplyDeleteBON VOYAGE...conquered
ReplyDeleteSails are set strong, to push the currents and wind aside
A pause changes you forever from inside
Time is not always on your side
Families deep rooted are the banks by your side
Love and trust all around on your side
Friends are like the Ores to your side
Strength and affection all along the ride
A well made boat with values deep rooted
Sails are set strong, to push the current and winds aside..
No matter what the turbulent times bring to your side
With self respect, dignity, righteousness and courage
No matter what time brings, back into waters ride smooth navigated
No matter the turbulence of the waters, you are set to conquer
oh.. how blessed to have the banks and the ores by your side
Sails are set strong to push the currents and winds aside..Bon voyage sr
I know I'm late getting this in but here's my day 6 poem. I've been ill and was unable to write. Hopefully, better late than never!
