Welcome to OctPoWriMo 2021! This event has been going strong since 2012 and we're so pleased to be here for another year. While we're off to a bit of a late start, we will post prompts each day and invite you to participate. Whether you're a veteran or a newbie, all are welcome! Remember our prompts are suggestions. You don't have to use them if they don't speak to you. The goal is to write 31 poems in 31 days. That said, this post will include today's prompt as well as two catch-up ones. If you find time or feel extra inspired, you can post extra poems so you end up with 31 at the end of the month.
For today's prompt, I invite you to explore the idea of Contemplation. This past year has been one of change and adjustment. I found that with so much time spent away from family and friends and special events, there was an opportunity to reflect on things I might not have otherwise made time for. What types of things have been on your mind?
